The Hare and Hounds

The Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath has been the place to see many an up and coming bands. From UB40`s first ever gig in 1979 to more recently NME faves The Twang and Editors. As well as a stint from Frank Skinner, the pub has long since been a favourite on the Birmingham gig scene. May 2006 saw the re-opening of the Hare & Hounds after considerable investment to restore the original features, throw in some retro furniture and add a £40,000 all singing sound system. There are currently two spacious bars downstairs and a live venue upstairs with a modest capacity of 200.
