In March 2012 the world famous All Tomorrow`s Parties will present the ATP curated by Jeff Mangum festival at Butlin`s Holiday Centre, Minehead, UK. The weekend was originally set to run this December, but has been rescheduled to take place on the 9th-11th March. Neutral Milk Hotel`s Jeff Mangum will headline and curate. After releasing one of the most loved & critically acclaimed albums of the 1990s (In The Aeroplane Over The Sea), Neutral Milk Hotel disbanded before many of those who now love their albums had a chance to see the songs performed live, so Jeff`s much anticipated return will be a very special occasion for fans.
As well as headlining, Mangum will choose around 40 acts to play across the weekend on three indoor stages with a total festival capacity of around 5500 people. Mangum will perform more than once in the more intimate Centre Stage venue, although entry to only one show is guaranteed - he will be performing a solo acoustic set. |

Gridlock rock festival promises over 7 hours of pure classic rock and metal. We have put together the best four tribute bands the UK if not the world has to offer. Live/Wire, Limehouse Lizzy, Dressed To Kill and Metalica UK all come together, probably for the first time on one bill. Along with a local up and coming Mansfield metal band Coraya, to stage one hell of a rock show. |

Music and Merriment is celebration and expression of local musical talent, community involvement and spirit.
It’s about people coming together to create something great, whether donating their talent on stage, their time backstage or their support by buying tickets and attending. Uniquely, everyone who performs at, or works on the festival does so for free, allowing us to produce this incredible event on a very tight budget, and donate every penny of profit to support local charities. Any age and any musical genre, whether experienced performers or not. Everyone is welcome to share in a day of musical entertainment. How it all began Tim Wood grew up at the foot of the festival site, Spetisbury Rings, and as a child always thought it would be a great place to have a festival. It wasn’t his mum Teresa sadly died from cancer in 2006, and was so incredibly well cared for by The Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, that he had a reason great enough to finally attempt it. So, entirely self funded and fuelled only by an incredible amount of passion Tim, his sister Jenny and four of their friends set about organising their first festival! 2009 and 2010 saw the first two amazing events, and now after a year break, we are back and bigger than ever! Ready to entertain with an incredible day of music in the most spectacular surrounding of Spetisbury Rings, with all profits going to support local charities. |
