For his return to The Citadel, Ian will be joined on stage by the breathtaking Chris Eaton on slide guitar and long time collaborator Steve Amadeo on double bass. The band have recently made a series of festival appearances, including the prestigious Acoustic Festival of Britain, which is testament to the wide appeal of a line-up which is a times reminiscent of a jam band, showcasing the outstanding playing ability of the three individuals, and yet Ian’s song-writing remains the focus throughout.

Son of the legendary UK singer-songwriter Roy Harper, Nick was born in London and raised in Wiltshire. Having played the guitar from the age of 10 and surrounded by the likes of Keith Moon, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and Dave Gilmour as he grew up, it was no surprise when Nick made his recording debut on his father's Whatever Happened to Jugula? In 1985.
Between solo albums, Nick tours with a vengeance. In the first 8 months of 2005 alone, he'd traversed the UK from Devon to the most northerly point in Scotland, along with 2 dates in Holland and acclaimed sets at Glastonbury, Beautiful Days (with his band Sleeper Cell), Oysterband's Big Session and other festivals including 2 tsunami benefit gigs in Thailand. |

The sounds are highly distinctive, led by Simpson's guitars, banjola and banjo, it moves from solo slide to flat out grooves via nursery rhymes and tragic dark ballads. The Blues Band was formed in 1979, by ex Manfred Mann group members, Paul Jones and Tom McGuinness, originally to play a few pub gigs on Paul Jones’ nights off from his then full time career as an actor in London’s West end.
Eighteen or is it nineteen albums/cds later they are still going strong. 2010 saw them make their seventh appearance at The Glastonbury Festival and they are favourites on the European Festival scene, always known for giving stunning, soulful performances. |

Stackridge formed in the early ‘70s, touring the UK, building a fanatical following and releasing 3 albums on MCA, "Stackridge", "Friendliness" and in 1974 "The Man in the Bowler Hat", produced by George Martin. This triumphant masterpiece, regarded by many to be George Martin's finest creation outside of The Beatles, the band recorded two more critically acclaimed albums, "Extravaganza" and "Mr. Mick" for Elton John’s Rocket label.
Going their separate ways in 1976, they continued to make music. James Warren and Andy Davies gained notable success as electro-pop balladeers, The Korgis with two hit singles including the massive "Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime".
In 2006, the devoted followers of the band were delighted when a reformed Stackridge started playing gigs again, including classic songs from their back catalogue as well as outstanding new material.
A band renowned for great live shows and festival appearances, Stackridge made their triumphant return to Glastonbury in 2008. |
