Cambridge and surrounds Bands lets assist each other
Hi everyone just thought Id introduce myself as I may be looking for quite a few of you to help me in the near future!
Im Jordan C, Ive been involved in the Dance scene for years but felt the need to move away from the scene. I wanted to continue DJing tho so sent a programme proposal to 209Radio, Cambridges newest community radio station. They have accepted the proposal and I am going to get my own show called The Live Zone.
The premise of my show is to promote local music. From local bands/acts/musicians/artistes etc to gig promoters and club organisers/DJs - I want to feature them all on my show. Basically if it comes from Cambridge or is playing Cambridge then I want to interview and help promote you all on my show.
I want to bring in bands etc to chat about their music and get them to play live on air. I really want to help promote all that is Cambridge musically whatever the genre!
I simply love music and Im soo eager to make this work.
I attend my fair share of gigs and have connections to some local bands too - SoundCity Riot Act, The Damsons, Read This.
Can we help each other? There are no fees for coming on the station unfortunately as we are applying for charitable status but I do plan a series of gigs next year at which I can reciprocate by booking the best!
The radio show should be being broadcast fortnightly on a wednesday between 9pm and 11pm.
