No one can question the unfailing popularity of swing Jazz for a sophisticated start to your evening with hits from such big band and jazz greats as Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles. And, as the evening hots up, we defy anyone to resist dancing to Rhythm & Blues and Motown greats such as Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and the Supremes, James Brown, KC and the Sunshine Band and many more classic greats as we bring our girl backing group The Hot Moments onto the stage and get into our dance set.
We are a high quality, classy 7 piece band with all the right sounds for the best of swing and jazz. And then we become a high quality, fun 9 piece band with all the moves, melody and excitement of the best of 60s and 70s music.

We are a 4 Piece Professional Function Band, specialising in entertaining for Parties, Weddings & Corporate Functions.
We have a very high quality PA system and our own stage & dance floor lighting.
Unlike most bands, we pride ourselves in being totally live. We do not use sequencers or backing tracks!
Our drummer plays an electronic drum kit, so we are never too loud!
We provide radio mics for speeches and play cd music of your choice during breaks!
All our equipment is tested regularly for Electrical Safety and we are fully insured for Public Liability

The Abstracts are based out of Cirencester, Gloucestershire in the heart of the Cotswolds. The Abstracts have been playing live music to a wide range of delighted live music enthusiasts, in various guises, since 1993.
Providing live sets for weddings, parties, pubs, clubs, music festivals and other live music based events, the band have over 250 gigs behind them and have performed to Royalty and to audiences of over 10,000 people at public music events in Cirencester and the Cotswolds as well as further afield.
The Abstracts are a 4-piece band who can also provide a duo or trio for more intimate music venues.
With an eclectic set of popular covers, The Abstracts can provide the genuine live music lover with a performance that will ensure your event will be a success. (Musically anyway!). |

I`ve been gigging for 20 years and have been a professional musician since 2001. The bulk of my work is now weddings and private functions, and I am well-versed in how to entertain you and your audience.
I can cater for pretty much any of your (musical) needs, from a laid-back set during drinks reception or dinner, to an all-out rock-fest, guaranteed to get you and your esteemed guests up dancing... And all of this, with just my voice and my beautiful `Taylor` acoustic guitar. Oh, and the odd fancy pedal here and there.
