| EKI |
Genre: Soul-funk Music |
EK1 are based in East Kent, but perform all over the UK and sometimes abroad. The band play a highly polished selection of the best in soul and funk music.
The band have played many public festival stages over the years, including slots on the same bill as Squeeze, Aswad and Boy George with audiences of up to 20,000 people. Last year they played at the Quex Festival before Hullabaloo and Ben Mills,
The expected Blues Brothers / Commitments punter-pleasing soul-type stuff is securely under the band`s belts. However, a lot of EK1`s repertoire is made up of `backwater` soul and funk numbers by artists such as Jamiroquai, Go West, Womack and Womack, McFadden and Whitehead, George Benson, The Isley Brothers, Randy Crawford, The Fatback Band, The Temptations, Maze, Rosie Gaines, Will Downing and Hamish Stewart amongst others. EK1 love putting their own stamp on this less frequently aired material, and believe only they play this distinctive selection of soul-funk in the South-East.
The band is a busy one with a very professional approach, so if you wish to book EK1 for a wedding, party or other function, please email well in advance. |

If your idea of a good wedding/party is dancing your feet off then The Fabulous Feedback Band are the best there is. With over 10 years wedding and corporate experience and with a winning formula of talent, good taste and humour this four-piece guitar band never disappoint. Aware of the wide spectrum of age and taste at such events, the band's repertoire runs the full spectrum from the classic 60’s of the Beatles, Stones and Monkees (to keep auntie happy) right through the decades to the present day of The Killers, Kooks and Amy Winehouse (for the hipsters). The band were fantastic. They kept everyone dancing till 1.00 am and still wanting more. Lots of people said to us on the night how good they thought the band was. We will be recommending them to all our friends. Thanks very much!

Everyone danced most of the evening and the atmosphere to have a live band with such energy was amazing. As a senior citizen I just loved it - and so did everyone else.

They were truly fabulous. The staff at The Barn said they were the best they have ever heard. They rocked on High! Thank you.
Claire & John Harvey - wedding - Staffordshire – 2002:
All the guests thought the guys were fantastic and one of the best bands they had ever seen at a wedding. They created a great atmosphere and seemed to be really enjoying themselves as well. Their selection of music was just right for the occasion (and the age of the guests) and it definitely made it a `Fabulous` night for John and me. I would highly recommend the band; in fact many of the guests were trying to think of an occasion so we could get them back again!
Gayle Peacock - wedding reception - Surrey – 2001:
Absolutely fantastic band – couldn’t have been more perfect for our wedding, or any other party for that matter!
