Band / Bands: Martin Barre
Other Info: In Association with Classic Rock Society

Martin Barre has been the guitarist of Jethro Tull for 43 years, his sound and playing having been a major factor in their success. Album sales have exceeded 60 million units and they continue to be played worldwide, representing an important part of classic rock history.

Martin’s guitar playing has earned him a high level of respect and recognition; he was voted 25th best solo ever in the USA and 20th best solo ever in the UK for his playing on ‘Aqualung’. His playing on the album ‘Crest of a Knave’ earned him a Grammy award in 1988.

As well as numerous Jethro Tull albums, Martin has worked with many other artists including Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Gary Moore, Jo Bonamassa and Chris Thompson and has shared a stage with such legends as Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

As Jethro Tull are taking a long break from touring, Martin has put together a band to play the “classic” music from the Tull catalogue. His band is a total commitment to give the Tull fans and a broader audience the chance to hear tracks not performed for many years. The band includes top musicians from a similar background.

With Support from Apostles of Chaos

Hailing out of Yorkshire England, A.O.C are a quintet, consisting of seasoned musicians whom have shared stages with the likes of Magnum, Kaiser Chiefs, Budgie, Screaming Lord Such and Gary Moore but to name a few. Taking their influences from bands dating from the 70’s to present day (Led Zeppelin, Marillion, Rival Sons, Porcupine Tree etc…), the band truly have a unique sound, mixing great rock riffs and melodies with a twist of prog!

Be sure to catch one of their electrifying shows as this band knocks the ball out of the court every-time, leaving you wanting more!

Band / Bands: Definitely Oasis
Other Info: Definitely Oasis are regarded by many Oasis fans and promoters alike as the best Oasis tribute band there is.

The band regularly sell out top class venues across the UK and were recently the first ever tribute band to sell out Glasgow’s iconic Garage Venue quite an achievement when you consider only 3 years ago the band played there first gig in Glasgow to less than 50 people to now playing closer to 1000 people shows how good this band is and how far they have come.

Everything the band does is all about what the fans want to see and hear a lot of hard work goes on in the background making sure that the look and sound are bang on so much so that they have been asked to play Glasgow’s iconic Barrowlands venue on November 26th 2016 a venue loved by both Liam & Noel and where Oasis played arguably some of their finest ever shows and another first for an Oasis tribute band proves why they are the best Oasis tribute in the Business.

Band / Bands: IO Earth
Other Info: Back by popular demand, presented by The Classic Rock Society

One of the most exciting progressive rock bands on the UK scene at the moment, IO Earth released their debut album back in 2009. Led by the creative axis of Dave Cureton (guitars) and Adam Gough (keyboards), the band have released four albums to increasingly popular acclaim, with second album Moments being followed by the double disc epic New World and finally their latest, the stunning conceptual work Solitude. Capable of shifting from driving, heavy riffs to gentle, reflective passages on the proverbial dime, the band are a model of contrasting delicacy and power.

Always at their best in the live environment, the band are currently fronted by their third singer, Birmingham native Rosanna LeFevre, and are sounding better than ever. The full line-up is Rosanna Lefevre (vocals), Dave Cureton (guitar), Adam Gough (keyboards), Jez King (violin, guitar), Luke Shingler (woodwind), CJ Jerromes (drums) and Christian Nokes (bass). Following on from their Citadel show last September, demand for a return has been overwhelming.

‘Support for this show will come from the highly rated Blackheart Orchestra, who impressed a lot of people as tour support to Hawkwind recently’

Band / Bands: The Doors Alive
Other Info: The Doors Alive widely regarded as the closest and most enthralling representation of the legendary 1960’s rock gods, The Doors, in the world today. The band formed in 2005. Since then there have been 3 Jims, 2 Rays, 2 Robbys and just 1 John, but the current line up is the best it has ever been!

The band re-create the sound, look, presence and magic of a real 1960’s Doors concert, perfectly and effortlessly transporting the audience back in time with classic hits such as ‘Light My Fire’, ‘When The Music’s Over, Riders On The Storm, The End and many more. The Doors Alive have over 1,000 shows under their belt to date.

Their frontman, Mike, captures the look, attitude, and rich baritone voice of the late, great Jim Morrison with ease while his compadres showcase the musical chops of original Doors members Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore with finesse and authenticity.

The Doors Alive have left awestruck audiences in 15 countries around the world, including the UK, Ireland, France, Belgium, Spain, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovenia, Malta, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, UAE and Chile. They have played at the legendary Isle of Wight Festival and played on the same bill with such legendary musicians as Status Quo, Nazareth, Uriah Heep, Hayseed Dixie, and Eric Burdon, to name but a few. To achieve their authentic sixties sound, the band use the very same instruments that members of the Doors originally used. With their arsenal of vintage gear, they create note perfect musical landscapes that evoke the swinging days of The Doors at their peak.

“To call The Doors Alive merely a tribute act would be a huge disservice to what is the closest thing possible to experiencing a Doors concert without the aid of a flux capacitor and 1.21 gigawatts. They are high priests who allow us to worship at the altar of The Doors by continuing the word and gospels of Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robbie Krieger and John Densmore.” – Pure Magazine, Ireland.
