Surrey based Independent artist and music maker ERIKA has emerged from a life coloured by the musical corners of the UK and Japan. Crafting beautiful and innovative pop, the mood can switch from haunting to joyous and from hope to despair from verse to verse. When Covid-19 hit and locked us all down, all of ERIKA’s tours and shows were cancelled along with the whole Music Industry across the world.

Since locked down she has started a monthly acoustic evening for womxn called the Creative Courage Circle and also streamed a live show from her home using a paired down crew of musicians and technicians. Frustrated at the lack of local entertainment, she started Surrey Cinema Ripley, an outdoor open air cinema in the field next to Ripley Farm Shop, which is also where she will be hosting her first LIVE show since lockdown.

ERIKA is a huge fan of connectivity and interaction. Every show always has interactive moments. Whether that is attaching onto a crowd by a belt connecting up to 110 people or throwing a giant pompom out from stage which triggers sounds making the audience part of the band. Expect connection through innovative technology at all her shows.

ERIKA is working on an invention to ensure her audience can be connected but at a safe distance and with social distancing and care of everyone at the forefront. Expect beautiful projections in a woodland setting that is set to take you away from our crazy life right now, each audience member will be given their very own headset which has been sterilised to create a fully immersive experience.

Erika’s voice has also caught the attention of some established artists. She provides backing vocals, keyboards & percussion for Skunk Anansie, backing vocals for Japanese artist, Hotei, has toured extensively with MIKA as his backing singer and recorded a guest vocal on two tracks with #1 UK artist, Bastille.

Come and join ERIKA in a field in Surrey for a very special silent gig …. a little like a silent disco/rave…
